Having your pet thoroughly examined at least once a year is the best way to ensure they’re in the best of health all year round. An in-depth examination allows your vet to check for any problems so that quick and effective treatment can be given as soon as possible.
When your pet is due their check-up you want to know that they’re in the very best hands. You want to rest assured that no aspect of their health is going to be missed. At Newnham Court Vets we have a large team of veterinary surgeons, so your pet will only ever see the professional best suited to their needs. Whether you have a cat, rabbit, guinea pig or hamster that needs caring for, we have someone fully qualified with a special interest in their particular species.
At Newnham Court Vets your pet can look forward to an extensive check-up to ensure that they are happy and healthy. The vet will begin by checking the basics including the eyes, ears, skin, teeth and coat. Your pet will then have their heart and lungs listened to, before having their abdomen examined for any indication of problems.
Once the vet has finished examining your pet you will be given plenty of time to ask any questions you may have. We pride ourselves on the time we are able to spend with each of the pets we see, and believe it is very important that you understand everything that you have been told by the vet.
Should your pet require medication once their consultation is complete one of our friendly nurses can help you. As well as being able to process your pet’s prescription they will also give you some great tips on how to administer it.
