Once a week on a Wednesday evening between 7 and 7:45 pm we run free puppy socialisation parties. These sessions are held to offer you and your four legged friend a warm welcome at Newnham Court Vets and the chance to have fun and mix with other new pet owners and their puppies.
Puppies are most receptive to new situations and environments up to the age of 14 weeks. This is the perfect opportunity for them to learn to socialise with other breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as new people. We therefore invite you and the new addition to your family to come and spend some time with us in a safe and relaxed environment.
As well as encouraging your puppy to grow into an obedient and confident adult dog, we have found that our socialisation classes often lead to canines happily returning to a veterinary hospital environment in the future.
Every puppy under the age of 14 weeks that has had their first vaccination is welcome to attend these classes for 3 consecutive weeks.
Our 3 week course covers the following topics:
The importance of socialisation
Physical examination and handling your puppy
Basic puppy behaviour advice
Flea and worm control
Anything else that you wish to discuss
To say thank you for choosing Newnham Court Veterinary Hospital to care for your pet, we’d like to offer all new clients registering at our practice a £10 voucher. This can be used towards your pet’s first consultation, toys, food or accessories. All you have to do to receive your voucher today is fill in your details below.
Every 3rd Wednesday we are lucky enough to have Lizzie Harrison join us for a class. Lizzie is a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and is here to answer any puppy related behaviour or training issues you may have.
If you would like to know more about our puppy parties, or to book a place for our next session please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Please be aware that places for these classes are limited.
