Amy Thorne

Head Receptionist

I’ve been a qualified veterinary nurse for over 22 years. I love every aspect of my job, with experience in referrals, teaching student veterinary nurses, emergency and critical care, working as part of our dedicated dispensary team and more recently as head receptionist. Out of work I enjoy keeping fit, cooking and walking my lurcher Alan. I also have two daughters Florrie and Ava and two cats called Toby and Albie.

Receptionist

After working for 5 years as a Teaching Assistant in a local school, I then joined the Newnham Court Veterinary team in 2020 as a Receptionist.  This is, by far, the best job I have ever had, especially meeting our lovely clients and their scrummy pets!

In my spare time, I like to go on long walks with my dogs, Bob and George (who is very naughty) I love a shopping spree with my two daughters.   I have a passion for music, and love to go to gigs and concerts with my husband and friends.

I have a few different animals at home to care for, including my rescue dog Rosie and a small group of quails. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking and countryside walks.
